Beavers is the section for our youngest members aged between 6 and 8. Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They meet together once a week in a Beaver Scout Colony but also have the chance to join in many other activities.
Beaver Scouts very often have the chance to go on a “Sleepover” which may be the first time a young person spends a night away from home. These take place in suitable buildings, such as the Magna Centre in Rotherham and also in our HQ.
There are two Beaver Scout Colonies that meet either on Mondays at 5.30pm led by Fox (Colin) or Wednesdays at 6.00pm led by Squirrel (Cath).
They live up to our motto of ‘Fun and Friends.’
Beaver Scouting is about:
* having fun
* making friends
* keeping our Promise
* making progress
