Pictures from Troop Nights - Summer 2002

The Fulwood Scout Troop are more than active during all weathers. We never let the rain spoil things, although most of the outdoor activities this year have been dry with only one exception so far. The principle is that no Scout has ever melted in rain!.

During the summer term, one of the most popular events is the Porter Water Relay, where the Patrols race up the stream from Carr Bridge Field to Fulwood Head Road. Seen here at the start, the route includes obstacles such as overhanging trees and a couple of tunnels, such as this one on the right.
A typical view as the Scouts race up the stream.

The finishing post on the right, or is it a wall!

Towards the end of the summer term we invite parents to join us for a leisurely stroll (for some) up Win Hill. This year we also invited the newly formed Explorer Unit.

A successful summer ended with the annual camp in the Lake District. Full report in the camp reports section here.
