Troop Events On This page: Pictures from Troop Nights - Autumn 2002 |
The programme, during the autumn, included some items that enabled the lads to learn more about Scouting, and the Patrol Leaders were encouraged to take some responsibility for planning the programme. Some of the older Scouts raise money for the Troop and themselves by organising the Car Wash.
During the Autumn, the activities don't necessarily become indoor ones. In fact the first meeting of the term involved making shelters in what turned out to be the dark.

One activity that did take place indoors was the paper aeroplane competition. Seen here in construction and about to be flown. |

Also the Conker Competition attracts a lot of interest. Now an annual event this year's champion was Joel, seen here on the right, about to make the winning blow. |

During October, the Troop was successful in winning the Westbourne Cup. The winning Patrol is seen here about to set off. |

Never ones to give up, we even managed some outdoor cooking in the rain during October, as seen here. We also managed some cooking on good old Primus Stoves during December. | |
Finally, the year ends with the now traditional Party with all the old
favourite games such as pass the parcel, the chocolate game, cat & mouse and
other parachute games.
You see, Scouts never really grow up! |
