Well,
when the morning came none of the scouts had abandoned their shelter, and all I
am pleased to say, were completely dry - even the senior patrol as you can see here,
who had taken the precaution of adding a large piece of plastic groundsheet just
in case.
Before long, all the shelters had been cleared away, remaining tents packed, and the site cleared ready for the sheep to return. Parents then arrived to take the scouts home, and I suspect most of them will have been asleep before they reached the motorway! |
Before I let you move onto read the scout reports, I would like to say a big thank you to Dave, Paul, Jeremy and Ed for their help in this year's camp, and to Ed for the better quality pictures - he even managed to get this one of the leaders sneaking a cup of tea (it even includes me!)
And so ends another camp, with plenty of memories and thankfully a dry day to pack up on, so there was little drying to be done back at the scout hut. I suspect we shall be back here next year.
