Well another week ends with some long lasting memories, especially the Scout Sunrise after fly camping on top of the hill. Unfortunately the rain had not stopped since it started yesterday morning and the site was beginning to resemble a paddy field. It also meant that all the tents and marquee would have to be packed away wet.
The river also rose dramatically as can be seen in this picture of the dam that the Scouts had made on the first day.
Despite a disappointing end to the week the Scouts left smiling and we can look forward to next years camp which is likely to be in another wet part of the country? The Lake District.
