142nd Troop Camp 2006 - Cumbria

After having a good night's sleep at baysbrown farm, the Scouts had a bit of a lie in - taking advantage of the fact I wasn't around to kick them out of bed.
Eventually they managed breakfast then back on track as they returned to the main camp site in time for lunch. It's amazing what some will go through for food - even the food we give them on camp?
The afternoon, after a brief rest and re pitching their tents, was part two of basic skills and the patrols swapped over from the activity they did on Tuesday morning.
Of course the day ended with the Troop in the Tarn playing on their rafts and cooling off.
However the day was not quite finished, as Dave recounted the story of a couple of lesser known Vikings known as Great and Little Lang who were stranded in their longboats not far from the camp site. We then embarked on a two hour night hike to find the final resting places of the two vikings.
Returning after midnight, and just a little bit spooked (well not quite) they were ready for bed.
