142nd Troop Camp 2004 - Cumbria

After enjoying a night where hot showers can be found, the patrols packed up their tents, said farewell to the other 'family' campers on the National Trust site and headed off to find the remaining clues they were given yesterday.
The weather remained warm and sunny and both patrols managed to return to camp before lunch having backpacked approx 9 miles over the two days.
The afternoon was then spent relaxing in the sun or making a trebuchet (Big Catapult) that was capable of hurling large rocks across the field.
And as for the older scouts who were blindfold and taken 13 miles away, well amazingly they not only discovered what the 'ape' of Grizedale was (A high rope adventure course) but they also managed to hike all the way back to camp the same day !!, Now if they had been asked to do that they would still be walking now.
