Fortunately the heavy thunderstorms promised by yesterdays weather forecast never materialised and the Patrols managed to pack up their tents (unaided) and set off on day two for the remaining questions that had to be answered.
Again the weather was kind and both Patrols made it back before lunchtime, which has always been a good incentive to get the map reading correct. What they did not know however was that to test their observational skills they had to answer two further questions about the locations they had been to. This proved to be the decider, as the Woodchucks managed to answer all the questions, with the Rams missing out on one.
After the rain of Wednesday morning, the Dam was in need of building up and extending, so after lunch both Patrols spent the afternoon extending the Dam.
| Whilst most were out enlarging the Dam, Dave got to grips with the Camp Oven to make some buns and a Birthday cake for John Bedford, who turned 14 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY again! | ![]() |
| After an energetic day, we ended by
eating all the buns made by Dave and of course the
birthday cake. And whilst we were in the party mood, the puffin billy fire was stoked up and all the Scouts enjoyed a few songs, both well known and improvised, and a few jokes around the camp fire. |
